Dr. Randy is a neuroscientist and biomedical researcher with expertise in biomedical science and neuroscience. His work bridges biological research with behavior and mental processes, providing students with an integrated understanding of brain science and human biology.


He mentors students interested in neuroscience, psychology, biomedical research, and pre-medical pathways. Dr. Randy is particularly passionate about developing critical thinking, fostering intellectual curiosity, and helping students formulate strong research questions that can lead to publication-quality work. He also guides students in research design, scientific writing, and advanced academic preparation for college and graduate-level science.


His research experience spans molecular biology and vascular medicine, early life trauma, stress and reward systems, pain processing, traumatic brain injury, and Parkinson’s disease.


Outside of research, Dr. Randy enjoys health and wellness pursuits, playing chess, and creating pencil portraiture.
